Athy School of Communication and Tullamore Communication Studio were established by Máire Nolan, a qualified speech, drama and communication skills teacher.

Máire is a licentiate of the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama, with two teaching qualifications: one in Speech & Drama and the other in Communication Skills (Public Speaking). She also holds an MA degree in Modern Drama Studies from UCD. She is a member of the Society of Teachers of Speech and Drama, and Voice Care Network UK. Máire teaches on the adults’, teens’ and children's courses.

Yvonne Barry trained in Theatre Studies at NUI Maynooth and also holds certificates in Speech & Drama, and Communication Skills (Public Speaking) from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She specialises in teaching acting skills.

Máire and Yvonne aim to help their students achieve their full potential, whatever their age. Classes are kept small to ensure every student gets individual attention and to create a supportive and relaxed environment in which to develop new skills.
